Who we are

Now Regional Media publishes the Now titles: local guides for regional coastal NSW, starting with Port Now. This website, nowregionalmedia.com.au, is the corporate site for the publisher. It is operated by Frequency Consulting Pty Ltd. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Each Now title has its own privacy policy covering accounts, listings, events, newsletters and payments on that site. This policy covers nowregionalmedia.com.au only.

What we collect

You can read this website without giving us any personal information.

If you send us an enquiry through the form on this site, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your business or organisation, phone number, the region you are interested in and your message. We also record the time of the enquiry and the IP address it was sent from, to help us detect spam.

If you email or call us, we keep the correspondence.

What we collect automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard visit data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the time of each visit. We use this to keep the site secure and to understand traffic.

How we use your information

We use enquiry details to respond to you, to follow up advertising, partnership and investor conversations, and to keep a record of those conversations. Enquiries are stored on this website and in our customer relationship management system, which is hosted in Australia.

If you enquire about advertising or partnering, we may contact you about those topics. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

We do not sell personal information.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data, which Google may process outside Australia. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Cookies

This site sets cookies only for Google Analytics, and for the WordPress login session if you are a member of our team. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers that run this site and our business, and only so far as they need it: our web host (SiteGround, with this site hosted in Australia), our customer relationship management system (hosted in Sydney), Google (analytics), and our email provider. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.

Information sent overseas

This website and our customer relationship management system are hosted in Australia. Google may process analytics data in the United States or other countries.

How we protect your information

The site runs over HTTPS, administrative access is limited to our team, and enquiries are stored on systems protected by passwords and access controls. No website is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through the enquiry form.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and related correspondence while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick it up again. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email hello@nowregionalmedia.com.au. We aim to respond within 30 days and we do not charge for these requests.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, email hello@nowregionalmedia.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and work with you to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date at the top shows when it last changed.
